Charlie Adlard

Charlie Adlard Illustration

Charlie Adlard is a British comic book artist and penciller who is is best known in Britain for his work on White Death with Robbie Morrison and the 2000ad series including Judge Dredd, Savage and Armitage. In the United States he is best known for his work on The X-Files (for Topps), Astronauts in Trouble (for AiT/Planet_Lar) and The Walking Dead (for Image Comics). He is currently the regular penciller on The Walking Dead.

Other work includes: Mars Attacks! (also for Topps); The Hellfire Club and Warlock for Marvel Comics; Batman: Gotham Knights and Green Lantern / Green Arrow for DC Comics; White Death for Les Cartoonistes Dangereux; Blair Witch: Dark Testaments and Codeflesh for Image; and The Establishment for Wildstorm, amongst many others.

John McCrea

John McCrea Illustration

John McCrea is one of Ireland’s leading comic artists who made his name working for 2000ad and on Troubled Souls, one of a number of his projects with the acclaimed writer Garth Ennis. He went on to work for the Marvel and DC, working on such well known characters as Spider-Man, Punisher, Batman, Wonder Woman, Teen Titans and Superboy.

Will Simpson

Will Simpson is a Northern Irish comic book artist who has illustrated comics for industry heavyweights as DC Comics and Marvel Comics. He has worked on characters such as Batman, Judge Dredd and John Constantine of Hellblazer and is also partner in the Belfast based animation company Rogue Rocket.

Will has recently provided storyboards for feature films such as Reign of Fire directed by Rob Bowman, Neil Jordan's Breakfast on Pluto, and most recently, Lord Richard Attenborough's 2006 production, Closing The Ring.

Garry Leach

Garry Leach has worked for just about every major comics publisher over the last 30 years. He has famously worked on Miracle Man, Warpsmiths, Judge Dredd, the VC’s and a myriad of other characters. Renowned for his attention to detail, and classical painting style, Garry's work epitomises what the world has come to see as the Renaissance in British Comic Art.

Kev F's comic writing and art has graced the pages of The Beano (currently running long serialised stories starring The Bash St Kids and others), Viz, 2000ad, Star Trek, Red Dwarf, Gladiators, Funday Times, Spider-Man, Dr Strange, Werewolf By Night, Ghost Rider, The Flintstones, Gas, The Damage, Oink, Scholastic books, innumerable advertising jobs, and most comics in between.

P J Holden

PJ Holden is a Northern Ireland based comic artist who has worked for 2000ad, providing distinctive artwork for stories such as Judge Dredd and the 86ers, as well as Fantagraphics, Eros, Warhammer and Image comics, for whom he is currently working on Fearless.

Rufus Dayglo

Rufus Dayglo is a London based comics artist with a striking visual style who has worked predominantly for 2000ad. He has worked as an animator for Warner Bros and more recently was part of the animation team working on the Gorillaz videos.

Simon Furman

Simon Furman Illustration

Simon Furman is a writer for comic books and TV animation, his name inextricably linked to Transformers, the 80s toy phenomenon. He has written literally hundreds of stories about the war-torn 'robots in disguise', for Marvel Comics (US and UK), Dreamwave and most recently Transformers: Generation 1 and Beast Wars for IDW Publishing. His other comic book credits include Dragon's Claws, Death's Head, Alpha Flight, Turok, She-Hulk, Robocop and What If? In the TV animation field, Furman has written for shows such as Beast Wars, Roswell Conspiracies, Dan Dare, X-Men: Evolution, Alien Races and A.T.O.M. Editorially, Furman oversees Titan Books' range of Transformers titles and their 'Comics Creators' series (which includes Comics Creators on Fantastic Four and Writers on Comics Scriptwriting 2). Furman's recent writing work includes Power Rangers SPD and Wallace & Gromit. He is also the author of Transformers: The Ultimate Guide, a lavish twentieth anniversary hardcover, and a Doctor Who audio adventure ('The Axis of Insanity').

Mike Collins

Mike Collins has been a writer and artist for British and American comic books since 1983. He has worked on many key comic characters, and for most of the major companies. Collins' first comics work was Laser Eraser and Pressbutton for Eclipse Comics between 1983 and 1985. Since 1984, he has done artwork on several titles for the London based Fleetway Publications, as well as IPC and Rebellion. Among his credits are Scream, Diceman, and artwork for many series published in 2000ad and the Judge Dredd magazine, such as Future Shocks, Slaine and Rogue Trooper. He has also drawn the Judge Dredd newspaper strip for the Daily Star (1988-91).

Around the same time, Collins also took on a large amount of work for Marvel UK and Panini UK between 1983 and 1993. He did writing and drawing on Spider-Man, Captain Britain, Transformers, Dr. Who, Zoids, Ghostbusters, Thundercats and Action Man/Action Force. From 1985 to 1998, he was also present at Marvel US, with Sub-Mariner, X-Men, Star Trek and the US line of Transformers comics.

He is currently the artist (and sometimes writer) of the Doctor Who strip in the Doctor Who magazine.
